Après s'être fait courser par un hélicoptère, une Lamborghini jaune et une voiture de police dans une gorge étroite où passait l'autoroute (on n'a pas su si c'était pour un film ou s'il se passait vraiment quelque chose...), on arrive donc à Bryce Canyon National Park en milieu d’après-midi mardi (22 septembre). Là encore les campings sont bien pleins mais on arrive à trouver un emplacement à notre deuxième tentative.
On profite ensuite de la lumière du soir pour aller marcher dans l’amphithéâtre et faire « the world’s best 3 mile hike » aka Queens Garden & Navajo trails. Je ne sais pas si c’est la meilleure du monde, mais on est d’accord pour dire que la ballade vaut le détour, surtout avec cette lumière !
After a weird situation where an helicopter, a yellow Lamborghini and a police car followed and passed us in a narrow gorge on the highway (we don't know if it was for a movie or if there was really something happening), we arrive in Bryce Canyon National Park mid afternoon on Tuesday (September 22). Again, the campgrounds are quite full but we manage to find a spot during our second try.
We then enjoy the evening light to gi hiking in the Amphitheatre and do « the world’s best 3 mile hike » aka Queens Garden & Navajo trails. I don’t know if it is the best of the world, but we agree to say that the hike is worth it, especially with this light!

...Et de lumière 
Une fois le soleil couché, retour au camping… Les étoiles et la voie lactée illuminent le ciel comme on a rarement la chance de voir ! Bryce Canyon est un des endroits privilégiés pour observer le ciel, la pollution lumineuse étant quasi inexistante ici…
Sinon, on est presque à 3 000m d’altitude, je vous laisse donc imaginer qu’il ne fait pas chaud la nuit, même dans le désert ;-)
Once the sunset over, we go back to our tent… The stars and the Milky Way are so bright compared to what we are used to see! Bryce Canyon is famous for its night sky and the lack of artificial light help to highlight this.
Other than that, the rim elevation is between 8,000 to 9,100 feet; you can imagine it is not super warm at night, even in the desert ;-)
Mercredi matin (23 septembre), on fait les touristes de base (au grand désespoir de Dav…) en empruntant la route scénique avant de continuer notre route à l’est en direction de Arches National Park…
On Wednesday morning (September 23), we do the same as every tourist: we take the scenic road before driving on again towards Arches National Park…
